Scholarship Opportunities for Hospitality Students

Alex Seymour Collegiate Scholarship 
Established in 1993, the Hotel Association of North Texas Alex Seymour Scholarship Program was used as a vehicle to encourage and support hospitality education at the associate, undergraduate degree levels. This scholarship is also available for continuing education of current employees of our member hotels that wish to expand their knowledge base and enhance their career paths with Educational Institute Certifications, Specific task related training such as HVAC training, Sales and Marketing Training, etc.

Two (2) $5000.00 Scholarship will be awarded.

This application is for students studying in an In-State 2 year program in Hotel/Hospitality Management. One (1) - $1000.00 Scholarship will be awarded.

This application is for an employee from a Member hotel in good standing for enrollment in courses that provide certification in classes such as: Heating & Air Conditioning, Microsoft Office, Pool or HR Certification...etc.

 

Jim Howard Educator Scholarship
The Hotel Association of North Texas continues to foster the future of hospitality in our area, and in 2004 began offering scholarship opportunities to hospitality educators to further their knowledge of our ever-changing industry.

Henry Rather Short Course Scholarship
The Henry Rather scholarship is for current member employees to attend the Texas Hotel Association Annual Short Course held at the University of Houston. It is a week long course that covers a multitude of subjects and is geared towards the first level supervisor or other teammates wanting to move up the management ladder.
