A Special Culinary Event for Hotel Chefs
Our 5th Annual HOT(el) Chef Throwdown will be this June 23rd!
In partnership with the World Food Championships and Dallas College, we give of our best hotel chefs a chance to show off their talents and help us raise money for future members of the hospitality industry. The best part? These chefs duke it out to earn a “golden ticket” to compete in this year’s World Food Championship, October 16-19, 2025 in Indianapolis!
The best part? These chefs will be duking it out to earn a “golden ticket” and prize money to compete in this year’s 2025 World Food Championship. There are FIVE Golden Tickets that will be awarded this year and monetary prizes for the top THREE teams (1st Place -$1000, 2nd Place - $750, 3rd Place - $500). The competition is for Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, Pastry Chefs, or up-and-coming Chefs on your hotel team. The Chef’s will be challenged to create their best dish in a timed, live cooking competition hosted at the Dallas College Culinary, Pastry and Hospitality Center.

This year the 13th Annual World Food Championships will be in Indianapolis October 16-19, 2025. We would love to have our golden ticket winners serve as ambassadors of our region's culinary scene and again - highlight our fabulous and creative hotel chefs. Chef Ricardo Gutierrez, Sheraton Dallas was one of our participants in last year's competition and was named the World Vegetarian Champion!
